Fostering Academic Collaboration: READ Albania welcomes seven new partner universities

READ Albania is committed to engaging up to 100 researchers from the Albanian diaspora to collaborate with higher education institutions across the country. This collaboration will involve a range of academic activities, including joint research projects, Ph.D. supervision, curriculum development, and co-teaching efforts.

Marking a significant milestone in its progress, READ Albania has recently expanded its network to include seven additional partner universities. The first institutions to join the program in May 2021 were the University of Tirana, the University of Medicine in Tirana, and the Polytechnic University of Tirana. These founding members have since been joined by: “Aleksandër Moisiu” University of Durrës, “Aleksandër Xhuvani” University of Elbasan, “Luigj Gurakuqi” University of Shkodër, “Fan S. Noli” University of Korça, “Eqerem Çabej” University of Gjirokastër, the Sports University of Tirana, the University of New York in Tirana, Polis University, the European University of Tirana, Marin Barleti University, and Epoka University.

Through these partnerships, READ Albania aims to make a lasting contribution to the advancement of higher education and scientific research in Albania by drawing on the knowledge, experience, and global networks of the Albanian scientific diaspora
