Albania has officially become part of the prestigious CMS (Compact Muon Solenoid) Collaboration—a global network of particle physicists dedicated to deepening our understanding of the fundamental laws that govern the Universe.
With support from the READ initiative, the University of Tirana and the Polytechnic University of Tirana have joined the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) by signing the CMS collaboration membership agreement.
This achievement is further strengthened by a dynamic team of experts from both universities, working alongside academic talent from the Albanian diaspora. Together, they are advancing the use of machine learning and neural network algorithms in particle physics.
